Smurfs Forest Production Background Underlay (1984) - ID: mar23485

A production background cel underlay from the Hanna Barbera animated series "The Smurfs" (1981-1989). Featuring a grassy hill, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the series. Background cel underlays are typically layered below other elements of the static background image that are in the foreground of the shot, but are still on top of the production background. Measuring 10.5"x13.5" overall, the cel underlay is in very good condition with light handling wear from studio use.
